Psychological Variables among Physics Students in Senior Secondary Schools in Osun State, Nigeria

The study investigated levels of psychological variables academic stress, anxiety and self-efficacy among physics students in senior secondary schools Osun State, Nigeria. It further examined differences between male female Physics towards learning Physics. A descriptive survey research design was employed. sample 400 from 20 II (SS2) selected through multi-stage sampling procedure used for the study. researcher- designed validated questionnaire administered to respondents. Mean standard deviation were answer question while null hypothesis tested at 0.05 level significance, using t-test. findings indicated that had moderate self-efficacy. However, there no significant males’ females’ area. Consequently, it recommended teachers should try as much possible reduce stress enhance by carrying out formative assessment frequently discover challenged emotional help girls’ fear be allayed though encouragement.
